Don’t whine! Devonport Food and Wine is nearly here!

Devonport City Council

Devonport Food and Wine is back and improved: we have an absolute stunner of a line up for you this October. The official calendar comes out Monday September 20, but for now, here’s a sneak peek at what awaits you…

With a focus on local fresh produce, you can enjoy the festival from farm to plate – quite literally. We have a farm tour in the first few days, so you can see how Tasmanian produce gets its wonderful reputation.

You’ll also be able to travel the world without leaving the North-West. There’s opportunities to cook like the Europeans, breathe in the experience of the Mediterranean and discover the delicacies of East Asia.

If you like a drink with your food, there’s plenty of options. From spirits to the creations of local fruit-growers, you’ll be spoiled for choice.

Of course we are holding our own Street Eats again – in a new location this time, so keep your eyes peeled to find out if it’s in your neighbourhood.

Interested in cooking, rather than just tasting? Multiple cooking classes are scheduled – take your pick and learn the ways of the masters.

Finally, the cherry on top of your DFW experience could be the North West Film Society screening of Julie and Julia, a fantastic food film for all of our movie lovers.

So wear pants with a stretchy waistband and roll up your sleeves: it’s time for Devonport Food and Wine.
