Plump Berries

Plump Berries

Plump Berries is a small farm growing and selling belly good fruit in Barrington, near Sheffield in North-West Tasmania. You can buy fruit at the all hours self-serve station or the farm gate shop, taste handmade fruit wines, and pick your own (in the berry season – usually Nov to March).

Plump Berries are grown in soil, outside, using natural farming methods. No herbicides, pesticides or insecticides are used on the farm. The berries eat compost, organic fertiliser, liquid kelp, worm castings, and fish emulsion. Natural materials are used to mulch the plants, such as woodchips, sawdust, straw. Diversity is encouraged. The fruit is weeded, fed, pruned, picked and packed by hand, mostly by owners Olivia and Aaron.

Plump Berries’ fruit wines offer a unique cane to glass experience. The well aged wines have been handmade on site using fruit grown on the farm. The wine is released in small batches from the wine cellar. All wines are very limited edition.
