Fees, Permits and locations
Devonport has numerous well appointed camping facilities that welcome tourists and campers to the region. Council allows permits for limited camping for fully self-contained vehicles at the locations listed below. Camping is not permitted in any of Devonport’s parks and reserves, apart from those listed below.
Girdlestone Park, East Devonport
Permit cost is $10 per night and allows stopping for up to 48 hours.
Horsehead Creek, Quoiba.
Permit cost is $10 per night and allows stopping for up to 72 hours.
Caravan dump points are located at both sites.
Permits must be obtained from the Devonport Visitor Information Centre at 145 Rooke Street, Devonport.
Fully self-contained vehicles are defined as those containing shower, toilet, washing, cooking and sleeping facilities including holding tanks for all toilet waste and sullage water sufficient for 72 hours use.
